It's All About Letting Go

July 18, 2007 – 2:58

If you are holding on too tightly to anything in your life, good or bad, you are in effect saying to life "I do not trust in life." This in turn will draw toward you a mirror of that: Scarcity, lack and not-enoughness.

Today's topic is letting go: people have a lot of trouble letting go of people, bad relationships, situations that are no longer working for them, or even letting go of good things. If you're holding on really tightly to whatever is going on, good or bad, you're actually signalling to the universe, “I don't trust in life. I don't trust that good things will come to me. I don't trust that bad things will go away. I don't trust in the process of life. I do not trust that life will in fact take good care of me.” And when you signal all of that, you're saying, “There's not enough. There's not enough good. There's not enough money, good luck.” The vibration of not-enoughness will bring back to you not-enoughness. People will continue to live in that cyclical life of, “I don't have enough, so I've got to hold on tight.”

(1:18) Be the cork in the ocean. Try to mimic that experience. A cork in the ocean simply goes with the waves, with the ebbs and flows of life. You begin to experience a more relaxed existence in life, when you experience the cork-like, wave-like, going-with-the-ebb-and-flow-like experience. I also encourage my clients to say positive affirmations. Affirmations are wonderful, because they help you change your vibration to another kind of vibration, to change it from where you don't want to be (the holding on, the lack, the not enoughness) to enoughness, to trust in the process of life. Repeat this often in your mind: “I trust in the process of life. I trust in the process of life.” It's sort of a fake it till you make it situation, especially if you do not trust in life! Fake it, keep saying it, and that vibration will eventually permeate your being. You will find that you have little clues in life that signal to you that life is a little more trustworthy. “I trust in the process of life.” Repeat that continually; it does work. Have a wonderful day!
